Kebab van in the Asda car park robbed Detectives in Basingstoke are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery in Brighton Hill during the early hours of Saturday, October 23.

At 1.20am, a 35-year-old man was working at the kebab van in the Asda car park when he was approached by two men on a motorbike.

The men threatened the worker and demanded a quantity of cash, which was handed over.

The robbers then left in the direction of Hatch Warren.

Detectives are investigating the incident and have issued descriptions of the two men, who were riding a red and black sports style motorbike.

The rider of the motorbike is described as:
  • White
  • In his mid teens
  • 5ft 3ins
  • Tall
  • Skinny build
  • Spoke with a southern accent• Wearing motorbike clothing and a red and black crash helmet

The pillion passenger is described as:

  • Wearing a jumper and a crash helmet
  • Carrying a shoulder bag

Detective Constable Rebecca Martinez, from Basingstoke CID, said: “Fortunately no-one was hurt during this incident; however the victim was left badly shaken. Were you in the area on Saturday morning? Did you see the robbery, or anyone matching the description of the offenders, or the motorbike? If so, please get in touch.

“We need your help to catch those responsible to prevent this from happening to anyone else.”
