Paint thrown onto road from bridge
Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Basingstoke on Tuesday, April 20. At around 12.45pm a quantity of yellow paint was thrown from a bridge over the ring road between the Reading Road roundabout and the Aldermaston Road roundabout. Some of the paint landed on a BMW 1 Series that was travelling towards the A339. PC Victoria Brewer, of the Whitchurch Targeted Patrol Team, said: “This was an extremely dangerous incident and fortunately nobody was injured. "Throwing items from a bridge towards moving traffic is unbelievably stupid and could result in serious injury to people using the road below. “We want to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious. We would also appeal to anyone who knows who was responsible to contact us as soon as possible so these people can be brought to justice.” A 15-year-old boy from Farnborough, a 17-year-old boy from Basingstoke and an 18-year-old man from Basingstoke have been arrested and bailed in connection with this incident.
