Attempted theft at a cash point in Lychpit
Detectives in Basingstoke are appealing for witnesses after an attempted theft at a cash point in Lynchpit on Tuesday, January 19. At around 5.25am an attempt was made to force open the cash machine at Tesco Express in Great Binfields Road. However the attempt failed and nothing was stolen. Detective Constable Louise Trigg, of Basingstoke CID, said: “Although this incident happened early in the morning someone may have been disturbed and seen something. “We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a white transit van in the area at the time. “If you saw any suspicious activity, please contact us as soon as possible.” Can you help?
