Detectives are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary in Basingstoke on Tuesday, October 27.

At around 11.30pm four or five men broke into an address in Winchester Road and threatened the two teenage occupants.

The men threatened the victims with weapons and then stole £150 cash. All of the men were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered.

Nobody was injured during the incident.

Detective Constable Catherine Stacey, of Basingstoke CID, said: “We want to reassure residents that this was a targeted incident and not a random attack.

“We are taking this investigation seriously and want to hear from any witnesses or anyone who knows who was responsible.

“We would remind residents to report any suspicious people or vehicles to police as soon as possible.”

A 17-year-old boy from Basingstoke has been arrested and bailed in connection with this incident.
