Houndmills service station robbery Detectives in Basingstoke are appealing for information after a robbery at a petrol station in the town on Saturday, August 8.

At around 9.15pm two people entered the Houndmills service station in Aldermaston Road South.

They threatened a member of staff with a weapon and then stole a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

They were both dressed in black and were wearing balaclavas and gloves. 

They made off in a silver Ford Focus and a third person was seen sat in the rear passenger seat of the vehicle also wearing a balaclava. 

Detective Constable Rebecca Martinez, of Basingstoke CID, said: “This was a serious incident which left a member of staff very shaken.

“This incident happened at a time in the evening when other people may have been around and witnessed it.

"Were you in the area at the time? Did you see a silver Ford Focus at the petrol station?

"We would ask anyone with any information to contact us as soon as possible."

Three people have been arrested and bailed in connection with this incident.
