Westside Coummunity Centre burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a community centre in Basingstoke in the early hours of Tuesday, June 9.

Sometime between 1.50am and 3.30am a man removed part of a window to gain access to the Westside Coummunity Centre in Paddock Road.

Once inside the man broke open a safe and stole more than £1000.

The man is described as: 

  • White
  • Aged in his mid 20s or mid 30s
  • Short or balding hair
PC Martyn Evans, of the Basingstoke Targeted Patrol Team, said: “This incident happened in a residential area and someone may have seen the man responsible.

“A substantial amount of cash was stolen and we would ask anyone with information to contact us as soon as possible.”
