Tee time with the Mayor!
The Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane's annual Charity Golf will be held at Sandford Springs Golf Club on Friday 17 July 2009 with a tee off time of 1pm. This year the Basingstoke and Deane Golf Society will be supporting the event which is in aid of the Mayor Cllr Brian Gurden's charity appeal that includes Hampshire and IOW Air Ambulance, Wessex Cancer Trust and Young People's Information. Teams of four people, with a maximum handicap of 28 for men and 36 for women, will enjoy an afternoon of golf followed by an evening meal whilst supporting these worthy causes. The Mayor Cllr Brian Gurden said: "I am hoping that this charity event will draw people from all over the borough and from all walks of life in support of my charity appeal." The cost per person is £45 or £180 per team and includes coffee and bacon roll on arrival, a round of golf and a two course meal.
