Report of fighting near to the Anvil

Police in Basingstoke are appealing for information after an incident in the town on Sunday, May 24.

Just after 10pm police received reports of a group of men fighting with a man near to the Anvil in Basingstoke.

However when officers arrived there was nobody in the area and nobody has reported the offence to police.

Sergeant Natalie Scott, of the Basingstoke Town Centre Unit, said: “We are keen to find out more information about this incident and would urge anyone who may have been involved to contact police.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed something.”
