Handbag theft in Oakridge

Handbag theft in Oakridge Police in Basingstoke are appealing for witnesses after a theft in Oakridge on Thursday, April 9.

At 3.30pm a 19-year-old woman was walking down a lane adjacent to Vyne Road and talking on her mobile phone.

As she walked she was approached by a man who grabbed her handbag and ran off with it towards Oakridge.

The handbag contained £90, a Nokia N95 mobile phone and baby items. The man was around 6ft tall and was wearing dark jeans, a dark jumper and a black cap.
