Resident fined for noise nuisance
The resident, Kristoffer Mallion, who breached a noise abatement notice served in August, had the equipment that was causing the problem seized. More equipment had to be seized in September after the council had received further complaints.

The council prosecuted Mr Mallion, who didn’t attend the hearing, and he was found guilty of all offences and fined £525, plus £939.21 costs and a £15 victim surcharge. The court also granted a forfeiture order in relation to all the goods that had been seized.

Cabinet Member for the Environment and Climate Change Cllr Anne Court said: “Residents need to be aware that if they cause others a nuisance they will get prosecuted. This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated.”
