Detectives appeal for information following robbery in Abbey RoadDetectives in Basingstoke are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in the town on Friday, July 25.

At around 9.30pm a pizza delivery man attempted to make a delivery at an address in Abbey Road. However the occupants of the address denied ordering the pizza.

As he left the house the delivery man was approached by two men who threatened him and then made off with the pizza.

The first man is described as:
  • White
  • Between 20 and 24 years old
  • Around 6ft tall
  • Skinny build
  • Dressed in black with a hood up over his head

The second man is described as: 

  • Black
  • Around 5ft 9ins tall
  • Between 20 and 24 years old
  • Skinny build
  • Wearing black with a hood up covering his head

Detective Constable Jonathan Swift, of Basingstoke CID, said: “This was an unusual incident that happened at a time when other people would have been around in the area.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed it or has any information about it.”
